On this day, with my last pregnancy, I woke up at 8 o’clock feeling like something wasn’t right. I had small pains and kept feeling like I had to use the bathroom. The pains were small. Was my uterus stretching? Fibroid pain? By 930 I was in the type of pain that caused me to finally decide to go to the hospital. Better to be safe then sorry. The nurses in the Emergency room didn’t waste anytime when they saw me, they rushed me right to the labor and delivery wing.
But by the time we got there, it was to late, I was 5 cm dilated and there was very little chance of saving the pregnancy. They tried stopping labor for a day and a half. On August 8th, 19 weeks and 1 day, I delivered Grace and Ellie at 4pm.
Here’s remembering you, little girls. You probably already knew this way before I did, but, you have a little sister. We will forever include you in our family and look forward to the day we can talk to this little one about you and Jesus.
