The girls would have been delivered at 35 weeks. In the back of my mind I always thought the delivery date would have been November 27th since I would have been a full 35 weeks on that day. Knowing the month of November would be difficult for me for that reason, I thought it very redemptive that it was also going to be the month my OB gave us a “go” to try again. I’ve been loathing and celebrating this month, especially excited for next week – peak ovulation
On Thursday the 3rd, I had a follow-up appointment for my D & C with my OB. After talking with her about my last cycle, she recommended me waiting yet another cycle before Brett and I try again. I was devastated. It’s only one more month, but, I had (unrealistic) expectations to announce at Christmas to the family that we are pregnant again. I knew it was only wishful thinking but, deep down I was hoping that could be part of our story.
I started to tear up and my OB reminded me tenderly, “It’s only one more month”. Thats true, it is only one more month. She also told me that as soon as I find out I’m pregnant again, she will bring me in right away to make sure I start out good, no waiting until week 18 or 20. She really cares for me.
I have been battling body image as I have a nasty 15lbs that just dont seem to want to leave. I call it my “damn belly fat”. I had finally lost 3, but when I weight myself again, I had gained it back. I have been struggling with anger as I feel the only thing this pregnancy gave me in the end was 15lbs of belly fat, butt fat, and thigh fat. And so, I find some peace in the fact that I have to wait one more month so I can work on this extra 15lbs.
I know since August the only thing I have been blogging about has been the death of Grace and Ellie. So here are some pictures of some things that have been cheering me up lately:

Orchids. I absolutely love orchids.

Finding fun little treasures at Goodwill.

Finding a Mookie following me and spying on me as I vacuum.
